What is massage?
Massage is the assessment and treatment of soft tissues including muscles, tendons, myofascia and deep fascia.
It includes local and global manual therapy to desensitise the nervous system, relax the mind, and lengthen soft tissues to provide symptomatic relief.
Types of massage we offer:
Deep tissue massage - This massage targets the deeper layers of your muscles and fascia through sustained pressure, stretching and slow, deep strokes. It helps to restore blood and fluid flow to the soft tissues which promotes the body’s natural self-healing.
Sports massage - This is massage tailors your treatment to your specific sport or activity to prepare you for competition or performance, prevent injury or re-injury, and recover after.
Advanced clinical massage - Reduce pain, dysfunction and stress through an approach which combines physiotherapy, osteopathy and bodywork to provide an outcome-based massage treatment. Your first appointment will include an initial 20 minute assessment to understand your condition and personalise your treatment, which will blend myofascial, deep and soft tissue release, muscle energy, stretching and trigger point therapy.
